I adapted a pattern I had for a sheep to knit this Herdwick. The grey body is knitted with Herdy wool so she is a genuine Herdy! π A friend suggested I keep knitting more until I have a flock!ππ That will keep me busy while I self-isolate! π

Brilliant. Best wishes Kevin
Beautiful! Definitely a good idea to knit a flock - but donβt nod off when trying to keep count! π€£
I demand a flock! Youβre very skilled at this x
Spotty, that is so cool!!! I am just astonished at your so special talents. You could have worked for Gaud, the teddy bear company. Or forget that, Start your own business. Really. Just amazing..... Can I buy some. really myself, and grandbabies would adore them Wait, I will send storm, he is not in isolation, and make a friend for him,LOL You have a very blessed gift. Keep on doing the flock, and we will always follow!! All my peace, prayers, blessings Spotty. Hugs from storm tooXxx thestormy sunshine
Thanks so much for your lovely comments Stormy. ππ» Yes, send Storm heβll be able to round up the flock and bring them safely back to you. ππ But give me a few weeks to get the flock together.ππππππππ
Any word of your son in Cornwall? I hope he wonβt be stuck over here too long.ππ» Keep well Stormy - hugs to you and Storm. π€ππ
Thank you for asking about my son. Spotty.. He and our grandbabies are self isolating there. They have a very nice neighborhood, but no other family there. Our daughter-in-law has her mum and pop in London, where they are going to stay too. I thank the Lord for there safety, and everyone's. So far ,they are sheltered, but like everywhere, food and supplies are running short. So we are funding to send Amazon orders for supplies, when governments releases them. It has to do with international shipping. They are living there because of my sons job, took them there. He now works for Google.... Miss them so very much.... You be well Spotty, take those flocks all the way, and as I said we will follow, and I will send Storm to guide them LOL.... Be well, be blessed, be strong, keep posting your sweet talents, Please.Xxxx thestormy sunshine:)πππ€π€πΊπΊ
So pleased to hear your son and family are keeping safe Stormy, and I pray it stays that way. ππ»ππ» I understand you missing them so much especially in these worrying times. Theyβll be missing you both too, but hopefully things will be much improved in a few months time and weβll all see our loved ones again.π€π€ Do you Skype or Face Time? That makes such a difference these days.
Iβve almost finished my second sheep and will maybe try one in a different colour next. π Iβll soon need Storm to keep them all in order! π Please keep well Stormy and your hubby too. ππ» Hugs to you and Stormπ€π€ππ
Yes, yes Spotty, we skype, and I am thankful they are doing well. As my post last evening, my grandbabies were at the park down the street from them, enjoying the beautiful day... Storm is ready and practicing herding the flock. He is practicing on the ducks, as they are back for the season, and cows... Quack. quack, and the cow says MOOO... LOL. Be safe, keep your family in my prayers, and looking forwards to seeing those sweet lambs of yours! blessings, thestormy sunshine
Glad you see your family via Skype and that they are enjoying life as they should.ππ»ππ»
Nice to know Storm is getting in some practise with the π¦ π¦and ππ so heβll be ready for the ππ when the flock is made. ππ
Take good care of yourself Stormy and thanks for keeping us in your prayers. Iβll be doing the same for you and yours. ππ»ππ» π€π
So cute Spotty! I really think you ought to share these with the world via Etsy.
Do you really think so? Trouble is I wouldnβt have a clue of how to go about it. π€·ββοΈ Fancy being my shepherd? ππ Take care Brookπ€ππ₯°
I definitely think so. They are so adorable! Google it and see or go on the Etsy site, they probably have info there? Or, if you want, I can try to
find out from a friend who sells teddy bears on there.
Iβm still not convinced Iβd manage it.π€ Donβt bother your friend as Iβm so woolly headed I still wouldnβt catch on. It would be nice to sell them in aid of Lupus UK though. π
Sheβs lovely! After years of knitting Iβm learning to crochet. Trying to do a teddy at the moment so watch this space π
Oh yes!!! Love itπ
U have amazing talent Spotty!! U do!! Now come on don't be sheepish..knit a flock!! π€π€π½π½Xx
Excellent spotty π canβt believe I missed this post π must have been counting sheep !
Such talent, he canβt go to market alone , as said he needs his flock π looking forward to the rest ππ
I wish I could knit a pattern I struggle to knit and pearl ππ
I used to drive my mum nuts Iβm sure when I was young, βmum Iβve dropped a stitchβ mum Iβve only got 18 stitches I did have 25βππππ,
Keep up the fantastic work πππ€
Thanks so much Stiff. Haha, I think we all start like you did.π Iβm not the best or most patient of knitters either but this stitch, which Iβve been informed is called bramble stitch, is remarkably easy. It only involves knit and purl no yarn round needle or anything like that just p 3 together and k,p&k into next stitch repeat, then purl the whole of the next row. I enjoy doing it. The head, ears and legs are more of a fiddle but Iβll get there. Just starting head etc for third Herdy now although his fleece is a non-traditional Herdy colour. π€ The rebel in the flock! π€·ββοΈππ
Keep safe lovely Stiff. π€π
I love it very talented π am hoping to get some long overdue craft projects completed but still working at the moment
