I have created a group page in honor of my sister who sadly died last year from complications due to Lupus.

Unfortunately, there were lots of mistakes made and we feel she was failed by the NHS, partly because doctors did not take into account all her underlying conditions and medications before performing a simple operation.

I am so sorry for your loss, your head must be all over the place. Lupus is awful and so misunderstood.

I'm recently diagnosed adn have not had a good experience and put in a complaint a week ago in regards to my care (or lack of). I posted my experience on here (click on my profile, should be easy to find) and have had so much help from here. I cannot thank everyone here enough. The help and support is huge.

This is such a difficult area. Liverpool is generally a good place for Lupus patients. Sadly there are problems to be addressed. Personal experiences are not easy yet we need to drive the the positive outcomes of the NHS and their hard working medical folk. HealthUnlocked is a good place to have that debate - not Facebook. Yes, there are many good rheumatologists in the Liverpool area. They are not the doctors who caused the problems! I wish they had been consulted, then the outcome may have been very different!
