I'll health retirement
Update .... I was turned down for same last July, after I had been dismissed from my job as a community mental health nurse of 37 years. I was told they needed more evidence and what they wanted so I was referred to physio, ot, clinical psychologist, neuropsychology etc and provided this evidence a couple of months ago. It took me 5 months to get the evidence they requested. In the interim I have applied for ESA , which I now have been placed in support group for. I have also applied for pip , and had my f2f about 3 weeks ago so am waiting for results. I also successfully applied for a blue badge. The SPPA response now is that they want a sleep apnoea test done as they feel it may account for my extreme fatigue and cognitive problems. This is despite the neuropsychologist stating I have had an acute brain injury following my brain tumour surgery 2 years ago. This and my lupus account for all the symptoms and problems functioning . I now await the results of the sleep study I had 3 weeks ago, then have to submit it to SPPA before they will decide on I'll health retirement pension. I just feel they are delaying paying me my pension by whatever means they can dream up. It is so disheartening. I am so fortunate and grateful though for the support I have had from Hp, and all the various specialists I have been seen by. It's been a long stressful road thus far , at a time when I am unwell ! I am also waiting to see a foot specialist for foot pain. I should also had my evidence provided meant I did not have a f2f for my ESA which I was grateful for! . Thought my story thus far may be useful to others in same situation ! Love and hugs to all x
