This did give me the opportunity to practice an Italian cast on and Italian cast off, giving me the pleasure of knowing I can knit again though. Brain fog required much counting on fingers and resorting to a calculator though!
I love knitting hats, short repetitive patterns suit my fogginess. unfortunately the price of yarn means I can't afford to give them away and so far I haven't sold any either. It's hard having a hobby where you end up with more things than you can use yourself. I've not tried doggy clothes yet, perhaps that's the way to go. 
I understand that baby hats have a market. Or baby blankets. Not a huge money spinner, but enough to keep you in hobby supplies. A baby blanket is often fog proof in more ways than one x
Have you thought of knitting for charity.
The local maternity unit is always needing hats for prem and full term babies.perhaps they would pay for the wool.
Some charities want knitted items to sale..
Perhaps you could make a few phone calls or ask around?
Or perhaps ask family / friends/ Facebook if they have any unwanted wool.
Sometimes people start projects and abandon them.

yes done that. I asked for wool donations and only got 1, made some hats for my local animal rescue to sell.
