Hello all.

I have just started taking Methotrexate. Does anyone wear a medical alert bracelet or necklace ? If so which brand/type ?

Thank you

I brought a blank medical bracelet from Argos (an identity bracelet would be as good) and also the dog tag style neck chain. Then had them engraved with 'Rheumatoid Arthritis' and below that, 'Methotrexate'. It would be visible eough to anyone should you (Heaven forbid) have an accident. In your case you could put Lupus. I was told by my consultant to get one, which I did. Mine came from the ID Band company on the internet. They engrave it with whatever words you want on it. Mine is a Rose Gold basket weave bracelet and the product and service was excellent.

Hi I haven’t got one as yet I keep meaning to buy one my consultant each time I go asks me if I have one I suppose I think it’s ok right now but realise it’s silly not getting one I find them quite pricey to be fair and maybe that’s why I delay .i have Addisons and SLE on reading the post below it’s a good idea but with the Id bracellents I suppose are more detailed ? Maybe let me know if you find cheaper ones the cheapest I found was around £20 upwards! Many thanks sandra

Hello, I ordered one yesterday for £34. It looks really pretty ( not actually seen it yet ! ) I didn't think the price was too bad. Will post a photo when it arrives 😊
