I was nervous to self inject so my hubby helped... I got this weird bad taste in my mouth but so far so good... hoping this helps get rid of some of the bad side FX I was having. Doctor said it does because the injections bypass the GI tract. Fingers crossed guys... A

Just injected MTX for the first time
Hi, I really hope it works for you.
I was issued with pen type injection which was very easy to administer and I didn't even feel it go in. You just press the top and it goes in a tiny distance under the skin. Maybe this would help you overcome the fear of self injecting.
Unfortunately, despite the rheumatology nurse saying it was not possible, I had severe headache and nausea for two days after using it so I decided not to continue, I think my body was telling me to stop MTX as I had developed nausea then actually being sick after the tablets prior to the injection being suggested.
I was told the pens were in short supply, to do with Brexit, so not sure where you live but I wish you a good outcome x
Yeah, I live in the US but man, I had the hardest time getting the needles -- waited weeks... I usually experience symptoms the following day so I am hoping all goes well. I am sorry to hear you had such trouble. Did you manage to find something that worked for you?
Having a break from meds for a bit, due to see Rheumatologist next month but I'm feeling really well so far. I don't have really severe symptoms though, I'm quite lucky. I do take cod liver oil, turmeric and Vit D and do yoga and relaxation and try to be kind to myself. Good luck with your treatment x
Yay..well that's the first one done!! I often think the first time is the worst..pretty soon you'll be used to it!! I hope that it works well for u 🤞🤞
