Hi odeetree, yes any of the vast lupus rashes can develop gradually. Most depending on where they are located, by sunlight, heat, food, medication, stress, and more. Where is your rash location? Do you have a lupus diagnosis? If so take pictures for your Dr. That is very important for them to see the start of a rash. I can try to give you more information if you can show or describe where your rash is. Hang in there, keep it cool and out of sunlight. I will look for your post . Many of us here get all kinds of these nasty ones. Sending care, peace, support. thestorm😖

Do you know if Malar rash fades sometimes and then gets darker. My rheumy said Plaquenil

Can cause this but I’m not sure. Sometimes it’s bright red other times looks like a healthy blush.

Hi Gmagolf, yes a malar rashes can fade and then get blushing or full out raw. If your Dr. is not aware of the rash, I suggest to take a picture of it when it is changing. Sort of like a time line for the Dr. Because a picture is worth a thousand words. Hope this helped a bit. If you need any info, I am glad to try and help you best I can. Take care. Sending peace, blessings, thestorm
