Lupus and after cancer surgery

Well I made it outside to do some walking on this gorgeous, afternoon!

Check on the garden, as if I could do anything if it needed it. I did pull up a few weeds. Unfortunately I’m still tied to baggage, hopefully I can loose that when I go back to the doctor in Birmingham tomorrow?

Yea, we have English peas starting to bloom! Fresh peas before long!

Let the chickens out for a while this afternoon also, they need time out too!

Glad to hear from you Tiras.

So happy for you that you got outside (and chickens too) and got some fresh air and checked on the garden peas.

Hopefully you’ll be baggage free soon and recovering fully.

How’s the blister on your foot???

Take care my friend.

Thank You!

The blister stopped growing and has now gone down. However, there will be a place there to heal when the skin comes off where the blister was. That’s better than it still getting larger!😊♥️

So glad to hear that it’s improving.

I’m still praying 🙏 for you.

Please say hi to your wife for me.

Y’all take care and God bless.

EJ 😊🙏🤗💗😇🕊

Must be wonderful to see your garden on a spring day. I wish I could have some of your fresh peas when they are ready. Any okra?

Oh absolutely! I have okra planted in our other garden. I haven’t seen it in over a week now, but the okra was starting to come up!

Got corn, green beans, squash, okra, & cucumbers planted in that garden, the corn was up about 2 inches last Tuesday when I saw it last Tuesday, when I came home from the hospital.

Oh, I can just picture it! Would love a photo when you are better. I can tell you love seeing the garden start to produce. 🥒🥬🍠🌽🥕

Tiras, I remember when we had our 26 acres of paradise and we had about 3/4 of an acre planted in corn, okra, tomatoes, cantaloupe, sweet peas, English cucumber, jalapeño peppers, sweet peppers and a few others rotating seasonally. That first year, as citified morons, we sure were educated fast when we waited one day too long for the okra to ripen.

My daddy was from Texas and taught me how to know when it was just right. I thought everything was good- irrigation, check. 7ft. fence, check. no rain in the forecast to cool my precious okra before their prime, check. What I didn’t plan on was the deer being smarter than me and being able to not only jump that 7 foot fence once to get in to eat my okra, but be able to do it again when they were fat and happy! Consider me skoooled! I hope I made you laugh at my expense as you recover. It is so good to hear that you got outside to see the sun and the garden. Here’s hoping things continue to be blessed!

Please keep us posted and take care! Big hugs 🤗 to you and your beloved.

D🏃🏽‍♀️

P.S. After the deer 🦌 incident, we admired their beauty from afar but anytime they came within 50ft of the garden we referred to them as “rats with long legs” or “backstrap fajitas”

Yes, you did make me laugh. We have the same issues here. However, I get something out of the garden. Whether it vegetables or meat in the freezer! We put 180 pounds of ground deer in the freezer this winter. We will not have to buy ground beef this year. That’s not counting steaks, roast, and blackstraps we put in the freezer also. I’ll get something out of the garden one way or the other!😂😊♥️

So glad to see you out and about today, hopefully all goes well at your next visit to the doc. My husband is now 11 years cancer free and just this week received a letter from the hospital advising they will only do a psa blood test once a year now as he has shown no sign of problems for so long. He is 72 this year and glad to be alive. Really wishing you the same outcome.

Thank you so much.

Actually I’m about to start getting ready for my doctors appointment today in Birmingham. It is a 2 hour drive for us!
