While I can keep my Sjögren’s mouth reasonably moist in the day and the various eye potions help my eyes, the worst thing is waking up with a shrivelled mouth and tongue.
I saw these on Amazon and thought I’d give them a try. One side sticks to your gum and then it slowly melts over a few hours. I tried two last night. While they don’t totally solve the problem, I woke up feeling much less parched.
Has anyone else used them? Can you get them on prescription?
I use them at night time, I got fed up waking with a coughing fit due to the dryness. They were one of the things recommended by the BSSA and the best thing I’ve found so far that helps. No harm in asking your GP or consultant if you can have them on prescription.
They are brilliant for me ! I belong to BSSA and they published a letter in their magazine from a sufferer who used them. I rang the mouth ulcer company who supply them, he imports them from USA and has been pestering NHS for years but they won’t add them to their list. Lovely man. I keep sliced apple in the car or cucumber pieces. Cucumber is the best water supply ever. I even sip tiny bit of water if I wake as this seems to refresh Xylimelts. Good luck

Lupus and trying to lose weight 
Has anyone gone vegan or eliminated sugar or gone chemical free to try to treat lupus? How did it work for you?
worried about trying methotrexate.
