No medication for Easter Weekend- need emergency supply

Been trying to change Chemist from my last post to the group. However, this is proving to be a nightmare. The Chemist is behaving totally unprofessional and not for the first has created safeguarding issues.

I am totally without any medication and this situation would not have arisen had he honoured his word and provided the medication until the end of April has agreed.

My care agency has contacted him and he claims he can’t do anything about the repeated blister prescriptions despite the fact that he’s fully aware of what is in it - because it’s on HIS system and delivers every week!

In my opinion the Chemist clearly knew what he was doing because he had said to the Agency that in the event the transition does not go smoothly, he would be prepared to provide an emergency blister pack!

Don’t know what to do as medication is included in my blister pack.

So sorry you guys are closed. My carer has only just brought the situation to my attention.

My GP surgery is fully aware of my desire for the change to another local Chemist that supplies medication to their other patients but they have failed to transfer the information to the new Chemist although they have been notified from April 1st that I would be coming over to them.

What am I supposed to do now? Who wants to call ambulance services because of lack of medication? This is terrible!

I assume you are in the UK? Try 111 - asap and explain the situation.

Try to get an emergency GP appointment today - even a phone consultation, and get them to send an electronic prescription to whichever pharmacy you want?

Definitely don't need to call an ambulance for medication for a start! If anything I'm sure u can take yourself to the out of hours service if the medication is vital and cannot be missed.

In the UK u can go into a chemist and nominate them as ur chosen chemist for ur prescriptions to go to it's as simple as that and they just get sent there and u dont have to tell anyone else it's just automatic
