Good morning everyone, I’m going to the caravan end of may and I’m not aloud near the sun, where can I get special lupus sun cream from? Will my rheumatologist prescribe me some? Or what do I do?x

Okay that’s perfect Thankyou, and it’s to get me out of the house because I struggle to walk and everything with my lupus, arthritis and that so it will be nice to not see the same four walls everyday😂xx

Yes sunscreen is available on presciption if you've got Lupus due to the 'medical need' ( don't let drs tell you no)

If you're very sensitive to light the eclipse part of Lupus UK may have useful info

I use sunscreen daily on my face, + on other exposed areas eg if in a T shirt. A hat and thin cover up tops are also useful. Remember even though it's a 'holiday', you're likely to still need to pace yourself, and probably need 'recharge days' before and after

Hi. I get Sunsense factor 50 on prescription but still have to cover up and wear a hat when outside in sunshine.

I've brought Sunsense for my face ..its very good but pricey ...i got some free samples from them just paid postage £3.99 gp wont prescribe it grrr !! Enjoy your holiday x
