Hi, does anyone have any problems with their liver due to SLE? I recently had a liver scan done as my liver function readings have been abnormal for nearly a year. The scan has shown fatty deposits in my liver and it causes me chronic pain. A bit like having a bad stitch all the time. With having long term inflammation due to the SLE it has shown inflammation in the liver.

Yes, I have Auto Immune Hepatitis which is basically just inflammation of the liver caused by my immune system. I've been taking azathioprine for many years now and this keeps it under control. I see a gastroenterologist regularly.
yes, i've been going through the same thing. It's new to me but they gave me a pill to balance it..
I use acupuncture treatments and strict diet to bring my liver back to my normal. It’s not a cure but it helps the pains, LFTs, and swelling.
