Nazz2005, have your doctor given any pain killers? Please request it as soon as you can. Times like this I take ibuprofen. I agree with stickybloodmentor. I went through it and my daughter is going through it. I had 10 years of pain and I still have it. But I promise it gets better. But it takes time. You must try to change your way of thinking as this is not the end but it a journey which you will get better. I would not have believed it if someone told me there is a life with less pain. But we have it now. You will have it too. Just manage it. It will get better. I wish I can show you where I am and how I have been. A warm bath helps as StickyBloodMentor suggested. And talking to someone helps. We are here. You are not alone. But you must rest, as much as you can. Eat well. Vitamin D also help with bone pain. xx

Hey Naz2005. I know it's hard and I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I have to echo what has already been said in that a warm bath can often ease a little bit of the pain and anxiety. I also wrap up on the sofa with a hot water bottle and a wheat bag that I can stick in the microwave. I can't take any pain meds as they don't agree with me at all but if you can, ibuprofen might ease the discomfort and swelling a bit for you. I hope your day gets better and please don't feel alone in this. Forums like this one can make the world of difference x

Hi Naz

I totally agree with others here..u will have good days and not so good days and u will learn to manage it I promise. If it's a painful day n u can't do anything then don't..but there will be days when u can...enjoy those days!!! Definitely take ibuprofen for joint pain..u can take paracetamol as well..they are different painkillers that work on different receptors in the brain..don't take them together but two hours apart..ie two ibuprofen then 2 paracetamol 2 hours later..then in 2-3 hours u can have ibuprofen again. U can only take 6 ibuprofen in 24hrs and 8 paracetamol in 24hrs..get the big guns in when you're in pain and then when you're feeling bit better u won't take as much. I hope that u feel some relief soon..my thoughts are with u xx
