Moving to East Suffolk with Lupus
Hello handbag & welcome
There is a Lupus UK Centre of Excellence in Cambridgeshire at University of Cambridge Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Years ago i was v lucky to manage to get referred to the Lupus & Vasculitis Clinic there even though Addenbrooke’s is outside my West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group region...and i’ve also been lucky with referrals to immunology, gastroenterology, gyn oncology, ENT & Max Fax clinics at Addenbrooke’s for ongoing joined-up tertiary care
Here is the link to Lupus UK’s Centres of Excellence info:

Hope you’ll let us know how things go
Wishing you every best wish

Dr. Frances Hall at Addenbrookes, Cambridge is who I see. I think you can choose to see who you want even though you are East Suffolk. She is great.
What part of East Suffolk?? Ipswich Hospital has a very good rheumatology dept. My family get seen there regularly for RA and other auto inflammatory conditions. Ipswich often liaise a refer to Addenbrookes where Dr Frances Hall runs a very good dept, although the waiting times are much longer than at Ipswich.
My family are all medical themselves and have always been impressed by the Ipswich rheumie Dept, although it is not a centre of excellence for Lupus
Ipswich hospital has a very good rheumatology dept, I ave been treated there for 4 years and I would recommend it.
You will get excellent care there.
