Wonder if anyone else has had so many diagnosis? 12 years ago diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. About 4 years ago found was incorrect diagnosis. Then about 3 years ago took mitazipine, came out in a bad rash, soon stopped taking tablets rash disappeared. Came out again next year, had a skin biopsy, was told lichen planus. About 2yearson another skin biopsy, diagnosis cutaneous lupus and another diagnosis discoid lupus. Rash comes out between May/June and starts to disappear Sep/October. Each year so far the rash has been less and less.

I have had all sorts suggested by my doctors.

When I asked for a second opinion, the specialist gave me a list of diagnoses

Osteoarthritis

Fibromyalgia

Joint hypermobility syndrome

Rosacea

The treatment he suggested for these?

Paracetamol or ibuprofen.

How ridiculous, so can see not by myself.

Yes I’m same too. I think many of us have a handful or more with the mix and related meds causing many problems.

Not including childhood conditions - first I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 15 years ago, then RA, then changed to primary Sjögren’s, then Raynaud’s and small fibre sensory neuropathy everywhere, now probable small vessel Vasculitis. Plus I have significant degenerative disc disease with 3 related herniations and moderate OA everywhere.

Hi amber

Although it is easy to collect many AI disease diagnoses once you have one I think in your case it's doctors not being able to make up their minds what you have. Specially as you've had numerous suggestions for your skin!. It must be very confusing for you. You say RA was diagnosed and has now been changed!. Has it been changed to lupus?. It's very damaging to you when doctors can't be sure so I do feel for you. Hope you can get it better sorted soon. X

Yes discoid lupus and then had biopsy diagnosis cutaneous lupus. Most probably similar .Before that a skin biopsy saying lichen planus , on report says definitely not lupus.
