A sinus ct scan showed sinus inflammation which reached very close to my optic nerve causing a scar behind my eye. My consultant thinks is due to blood vessels cartilage inflammation and she's sending me for a head mri scan. I am a bit worried about it because I get very bad pain behind my eye, ear, bridge of my nose and my scalp. The pain varies from mild to extremely painful but is always there. I get bad headache too. I wonder if on top of everything else I.e lupus, diverticulitis, fibromyalgia silent reflux etc I may have vasculities. What do you think? I am so down about it. I take so many medication and I still feel rubbish. Sorry for moaning but I know you can understand how awful it is. 😓😭

Sinus inflammation
Hi Tulipano, I too have sinus inflammation also affecting my left ear and gland. I’ve been prescribed steroid nose spray to use twice a day for three months and also my GP has referred me the the ear, nose & throat at the hospital stating that I might need minor surgery.
I’ve been suffering in silence for the last year cause I thought it was something to do with my autoimmune issues (just another odd symptom) but now I’m glad I finally mentioned it.
Xx
Thank you so much for your reply. I have used the steroids spray but didn't help at all. Did the surgery help? I am suffering too the pain has spread to my scalp too xx
My appointment with ent isn’t till next month, so I’ll keep you updated.
I feel for you, it’s not nice. I guess mine is subtly annoying most of the time but then flares up at least once a week and I have the most unbearable pain across my face, head and neck ( into the glands)
Tbh I’m giving up on the spray cause it seems to make no difference.
Can I ask, do you ever find it affects swallowing some foods?
Cause I’m finding this.
Yes even swallowing food sometimes is hard. Please me know how you get on. I will too. Good luck xx I just hope we will find some relief xx
