Anyone have questions that they feel would be helpful to ask Dr Hakim? Brain seems to have gone, well just gone all together today.
Any help would be most appreciated!

Hello Ladyetc
My advice is very general. It is to make sure you focus on the symptom that is most worrying you and ask "What is your explanation for this symptom?" If you think it might be caused by something else, you might want to ask, "Why do you think it is NOT caused by X?"
The other key questions for me are:
"What signs of trouble should make me go to the GP for help?"
"What happens next - and who is going to arrange it?"
You might have noticed Barnclown's last post also addressed this topic. She quoted an article that said, βHere are three questions that every patient should ask of every new proposed drug or intervention:
What are my options?'
What are the specific benefits and harms to me?
What happens if I do nothing?"
Let us know how it goes x
I think Whisperit covered it well
Have a clear objective of what you most want. Dx? Thorough testing? Wait and see?
Thanks so much Maye π»πΌπ
If Dr Hakin has experience of neurophyschiatric SLE I shall be grateful for a response to my post yesterday.

Before attending your appointment (if you haven't done so already) you may like to read our blog article called 'getting the most from your medical appointments'. The article contains helpful tips and information which I hope you will find useful: lupusuk.org.uk/getting-the-... .
