What kind of flare-up is it? Lots of water and rest.

Hello Tulipano,

My feelings go out to you. I had a really bad flare 3 weeks ago which lasted 10 days. I find a hot bath eases aches and pains, then I lay on a big towel on my bed till I’m dry(as by now I am too exhausted to move!) it gives me a sense of well-being for a little while. Hot water bottle placed on the worst aching place, up my steroids, then generally feel sorry for myself for a while! Tears are good as it lets that frustration out, then back on that Lupus horse and ride that damn flare out(smiling by now if possible just so you feel like your sticking two fingers up to that Lupus beast!!! We may not win but I like to feel I’m giving the beast a few upper cuts as I lay exhausted, aching all over but with the biggest smile on my face that I can possibly do 😁! Hope you feeling better soon, it will soon be over Tulipano, stick in there!

Keep Smiling

It is very hard to advise without knowing a little more about your very own profile and struggles. Don’t be discouraged however, because we have some pretty amazing people who visit these boards and often have very good, sound medical thoughts on various medical angles for individuals as well as fellow sufferers who often are steps ahead of us on any particular issue and are able to share their first hand experiences with what we may be currently challenged with. Most of the time it works like a strong, seasoned marriage in pointing us into the right direction. I, for one, feel damn fortunate to have such first hand knowledge right here for the ‘plucking’ !!

With just a little more descriptive picture, you can create a profile that will bring forward some of those answers you may be looking for. In the meantime you should allow yourself some unfettered, uninterrupted time to yourself and to only those that you positively recognize are there for you, and just you. Try to keep your life as simple as possible. You will get better, much better.
