How does the lights effect you Nanno?

Everytime I go in to a supermarket or shopping centre my eyesight becomes blurred. I have double vision and have had regular appointmens for the last 3 years after having a suspected TIA. I was signed off in January of this year as other than fitting a black lens in to my eye they cannot help. I have mentioned I have noticed that the double vision is worse and blurry keep blinking to try and see clear when in fluroscent light.

I have just realised to If sitting directly under a light with lower ceiling I get the rash over my nose and cheeks burning hot sensation.

Headache, eyes hurt really bad, even with drops. Sometimes I get like a blurry, cloudy type looK. It is as if someone flashed alight bulb in my face from a camera. Feel so week a lot and sometimes I will get a dizzy feeling.I was told I had 3 TIA s from a neurologist, but I did not know that.

When I was teaching, I used to take the children out to read in a small space with low hanging fluorescent lights. I would always feel fatigued and unwell during those sessions, but I thought it was because they were in the afternoon. I didn't really associate it with the lighting but I certainly don't get afternoon fatigue on such a scale now. X

I am sensitive to fluorescent lighting. During a recent stay in hospital i asked for the lighting above me to be dimmed or turned off and i was treated with disdain by the medical staff. It was in the middle of the day and the ward was very beight from the light coming from the windows. The lights could be dimmed or turned off individually, so couldnt understand the resistance. I explained it was due to lupus but was not taken seriously. This was an NHS hospital. Very few people understand how lupus sufferers can be impacted by every day things that others take for granted. Even in the medical profession.

I have had that happen to me. Most people love light and sun, so they dont understand that I like cloudy days, because my eyes hurt. Thank you for sharing that. God Bless you.
