I get sore sleeping at night and most of the time it’s due to the pillow being to low or being to high it gets sore on my shoulders and wrists. Would anyone know a make or type of pillow that would help this? Memory form doesn’t help either makes me feel sore. My mum got me a good pillow for Christmas but it’s to high up and bouncy feel bad so I don’t want to say to her it’s not helping 😕 I have lupus and arthritis.

hi, jess_doyle

Your sore may be caused by bad posture during sleeping at night. I can't be sure to tell you have lupus or arthritis as sore on shoulders, wrists may be a signal of many conditions. You should consider your sore. If it lasts in a long time, you should meet your doctor. But, before meeting doctor, you can try to exercise every morning. This may help reduce your sore.

Try to see a physio or occupational therapist ...they will assess your needs & advise the type of pillow most suitable for you.

I have bought so many pillows to deal with this oroblem over the years, I now have about three that I rotate to suit how I'm feeling.

Good luck!

I'm another one who has experimented with pillows to find the right one. I had some success with a poly filled one which I unpicked, removed some of the filling, and stitched up again. I need two soft and squishies at a time.

An OT or physio could give you the best advice for your particular needs, though.

I tried to get an appointment with a physio but of course all the hospital systems are different I never got the appointment letter, I’m seeing my consultant in April maybe mention it to her again, it’s such a pain, right pillow does make that bit of difference.

Hi I too have lots of auto immune conditions, plus nerve damage in my neck and back. I bought a seed pillow from Amazon, think it was someone on here who suggested it. They are quite heavy, but the beauty is they mold to your shape and are very supportive, I’ll try and look it up and give you the proper name. Had mine a few years now 😊🦉

I just have to have a few medium, thinner pillows and I move them round during the night.
