The last few weeks I have noticed, that my Sense of smell is almost non existent. On Sunday night after Church Laura and I took 3 of the Grandkids to Burger King, when we got out my granddaughter said it smelled good, at that point I realized, I Didn't smell anything. Today I cut some rich heart pine kindling to get fires started in the fireplace, it was full of dried cured pine Rosin. A couple pieces of that would make a whole hose smell like fresh pine. Even holding up close to my nose, I could just barely smell the pine scent!

Just out of curiosity, has anyone else noticed your sense of smell is lower or gone?

On another note, it has started raining here today and some of the coldest weather we have had is on its way in, low 20's (Fahrenheit), a couple of years ago, I got a pair of Laura's leggings to put on under my pants. Believe it or not they kept me warmer than men's long underwear, so from that point on I wear leggings under my pants. Most of the time if it is just Laura and I or if it is just me at home alone, I just wear the leggings. Now no will not go out in public with just leggings on, they may be under my pants. I can absolutely understand why most ladies like them they are very comfortable. Not to mention they are only about a 1/4 of the price of mens long underwear is! I can get 4 pair of leggings to one pair of men's. no one can see so who cares what you use for insulated underwear?πŸ˜‚

It is and it's not funny but, my nails have pink nail treatment, might as well wear leggings!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yep it's either laugh about it or cry, I take the laughter!πŸ˜€

Wishing Everyone the best!

I agree leggings are warmer and more comfortable!

I have issues with my hand too, I will be out side doing things, cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood, and my hands will get cold, even with gloves on, I'll be barefoot, my feet will not be cold. Now the kicker is, it does have to be vey cold. I have just taken it as poor circulation?

Wishing you the best!

I agree about the leggings Tiras! After all, racing cyclicsts wear the tighest lycra they can.

The only person I've known who lost her sense of smell fir a time was my MIL, after a sinus infection.

Leggings do keep you warmer and they are more comfortable. During the winter here in the house, and doing stuff outside. (When it's just Laura and I or me by myself) leggings is all I wear. If I go out or it gets colder then I wear them under my pants.

With my smell I have not had sinus, cold, flu, etc. nothing. It's like I guess my smell has slowly been going away but, I really didn't notice it until I woke up one day and it was almost gone?

Wishing you a GREAT DAY!

Hi, my sense of smell is awful, I can't smell either, if someone comments on a horrible smell maybe outside, I just fake it and say oh yes! I don't know why I do it. I can't smell food either which is a bit worrying, my husband says you will smell it if it's off, mmm maybe not. I don't use things past sell by date. I wonder if it's related, I have MCTD. I've been like this for over a year and just ignored it. I just don't want to go to another different doctor, I'm seeing enough at the moment, because it doesn't involve pain I will put up with it. Very strange!

I suppose my smell has been getting worse for the last few months and now that I don't smell very much, I've really noticed it. Just like when my granddaughter said the food outside of the restaurant smelled good. That was when I actually realized, I don't smell anything!

As to you can smell the bad stuff, nope I don't smell that either, we raise chickens and our own eggs. The other day the grandkids brought an egg they had found hidden in the nesting house, we cracked it, it was rotten, I could just barley smell it, not enough to go ew

Wishing you the BEST

I don’t smell much or taste much anymore - it’s a great source of sadness and for me it’s just a typical SjΓΆgren’s thing due to dryness affecting nasal passages and the autonomic dysfunction combined. X

You mentioned that, reminds me. For the last several weeks my mouth has been dry. Almost feels like cotton.

Things are starting to add up, with everyone pitching in. I am seeing some connections here?

Have a Good Day!
