Well I finally got an appointment with the doc, I told her about my chest pains and the regular bruising on my toes etc
She was more concerned about the chest pain and told me not to think about the bruising dismissing it as broken blood vessels which is obviously what a bruise comes from.
I have been referred to the hospital for the chest pain and given an angina spray to see if it helps the next episode.
I will mention the bruising to my specialist when I see him in March and will go armed with photos as I have no explanation as to why suddenly this has started to happen when I have been on anticoagulant and steroids for many years.

Interesting - does it look bruised on your toes and fingers or just feel bruised? Mine feel numb now but used to feel bruised - right on tips and under the nail beds. In my case I believe it’s nerve damage from my neuropathy and secondary Raynaud’s. They are a bit shiny and there are brown halos around the top of nail bed. Very hard to type as I can’t feel screen much now!
Sorry your suffering with unexplained bruising and chest pain. Hope the spray resolves the next episode as it can be painful and frightening. Glad your going to cardiology.
I'd just like to say that what may be causing both is inflammation as I have experience of both these symptoms. They have to rule out so much for chest pain and then if all negative it may be inflammation of lung or heart lining. Anti inflammatories like steroids or colchicine can be used to treat this effectively!. I had suffered for years before a scan showed some inflammation. I have a spray that works within 3-5 mins of use. If it doesn't then 999 must be called specially if pain keeps worsening!.
The bruising can be inflammation of blood vessels and very painful when they break out. The lower my steroids have gone the more I get. Presumably you saw your GP?. Are you due a Rheumy visit?. Well worth talking to him about both of these as your treatment will probably need tweaking!. Hope your better soon and I've been helpful. X
