Hello. I have just seen your post but don't have time to reply in full now, school run etc. I'll reply later today. Wendy
I just replied on my other post but what sunscreen are you using and how long behire you go outside do you apply/reapply it?
I apply it before I go .its usually about half an hour before i go out ,
Which one are you using?
I am in scotland free prescription sunsence factor 50
Hmmm .. that one should be working. It might be worth talking to your gp about whether he can prescribe something called Dundee light reflective cream as well and if not discuss a referral to dermatologist to see if they can help test which light range is causing the problem and going from there.
Beyond that, depending on if you can take them it might be worth trying an antihistamine before you go out and seeing if that helps. I was originally told to slowly build a tolerance by going outside without sunscreen every day as well starting at something like 30 seconds and then slowly building it up but I would say talk to your doctor before you do that - in my case they can’t get me to do that for reasons I won’t bore you with. And you lose the tolerance you've built over each winter and have to start again each year which I would imagine is frustrating.
Good luck and hope you find something that helps
