Ouch My Lips 👄

Good morning my lovelies,

I haven't posted a picture yet of my lip blister & the poor condition. It's quite embarrassing, but I wanted to show you just how bad they actually are. As you can see from the top lip there is a rather large patch of darkened skin where the blister once was. It's sort of scabbed over but but in certain parts of it, it's shiny & has little openings that bleed, My lower lip have patches of pigmentation, finding it very difficult to smile eat & when I talk every moment breaks the skin open again. 🤕(At least it's quite for everyone 😉)

I've tried some Vaseline & a chap stick, doing my best to drink enough water

It seems to just get worse no matter what I do.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated x

Hi there - I can see your lips look sore and sympathise greatly. I too have really sore lips at the moment but I have not really found anything that helps other than smearing on the Vaseline. One of my friends with an autoimmune disease swears by Sudafed (which she smears on when at home where no-one can see!) so I thought I might give that a go. Sorry not to be of more help but will be interested to see what others can suggest. Hope the sore lips ease up.

I've just got over a long lingering cold sore. I slapped zovirax on as soon as I noticed it, which usually helps, but not this time. It took 4 weeks. It kept splitting and bleeding. I can't suggest anything more than the usual vaseline or soft textured lip balm though.

Your poor lips look very sore. You are definitely doing the right thing in making sure you're hydrated x

Hi I have problems with dry and sore lips for many years tried most things I read that Vaseline creates a film so your lips do not breath so now I use products without this and I have been a lot better I use Dr organic hemp oil lip serum and one with coconut in it but they do make a range of products hope this helps good luck hope that you feel better soon

Gosh I was feeling sorry for myself because I have a slip right in the corner of my mouth which is sore!

I find carmex lip cream is the best, much better than vasiline, it might be worth trying.

I hope that you are feeling better soon. 💐

Poor, poor you. I had badly sunburned lips in the summer and the pain of such a sensitive area is miserable. Have you tried Blistex? It saved me. It has a fraction of Phenol in which is reputed to accelerate healing. Do try it, it's £2 or so from Boots and other chemists but it feels amazing and did the job when all other creams had failed. Hope things pick up soon xxx

I have used a machine for cold sores/blisters for some years now and I think they are brilliant and definitely help. The current one is just a Boots "electronic cold sore machine" and i use it with an antiviral cream. Good luck.

Try some organic coconut oil. You can get a large jar from boots and the price is reasonable. I get nasal ulcers and this clears them up very quickly. Xx
