Hi can anyone advise how to prevent the inside of my mouth shredding? It's driving me nuts.
Also today is quite cool so I put a jacket on and then my elbows started getting a rash and a burning sensation just like me knees with the sun so now I'm worried that as winter approaches I won't be able to bear anything over my arms or legs. Can anyone advise on this too please. Thank-you

Have you thought about a visit to the dentist to have that checked out?
You could be allergic to something you are eating or, perhaps, your toothpaste is causing it? It isn't normal to shed skin from inside your mouth so something is amiss. It might be that it is related to autoimmunity or something to do with your dental health. I read with interest about the skin shedding. I have had this only on two occasions after eating grapes and then at a later date when eating a vinegar based dressing. I appear to have become sensitive to many foods of late. I take antihistamines and avoid grapes and don't bother with acidic dressings any longer.
The rash might be related if the shedding is occurring at the same time. A GP visit, perhaps!
Hi, I am petrified of dentists, so I try to avoid for as long as possible but I will mention it at my next visit. I haven't changed my oral care but that doesn't mean that the ingredients haven't altered ofcourse. It makes me feel sick if I'm honest.
I don't think the rash is linked, it's appears to be heat / sun related. X
I must admit, I am too. My fears hark back to days when dentists were less 'user friendly'. I have had to make myself go recently as I also get nasty deep ulcers that affect the nerves in my tongue.
When you say "it makes you feel sick" do you mean the skin peeling or having to visit the dentist?
Yes my old dentist was nice enough but pulled some of my baby teeth out to make way for the adult Ines and I've had a couple of incidences through adulthood too. The skin peeling in my mouth makes me feel sick, it just streams off, it is really horrible and embarrassing if I'm around people. I get lots of ulcers and soreness almost like I've burnt it but I haven't if that makes sense. X
I can quite understand why it makes you feel sick. I do hope you pluck up the courage to pay a visit and try to find out why it keeps happening. And it will be sore if you are losing layers of skin. It sounds most unpleasant and painful.
I too have the 'burning' and 'tingling' in my tongue with eating, when I'm not eating, and intermittently. I have been informed that it isn't due to allergies, B12 deficiecy (although results are lowering yearly, now 338 -was 778) and perhaps it's anxiety related. Or, burning mouth syndrome! So, who knows! One more weird symptom to add to the ever increasing list.
Oh Boy...Hasn't hit my mouth....yet? But Body Rash OMG and itching..Oh My!! I asked my Rheumy if she thought my new rash is from the Hydro..(malaia drug) she says unlikely...Just UGH and ARRRRGGggggg
