London Bridge Hospital

Hello, I have decided to see a Lupus Specialist as I have not been very happy with my Rheumatologist at my local hospital. Unfortunately I only get to see a registrar or a lupus nurse.

Has anyone seen Dr Lanham at London Bridge? If so, was he very helpful?

I thought about doing this privately but in the end I got my GP to refer me to Guys Hospital Lupus Centre for a second opinion where I saw the same consultant that I wanted to see privately. I was seen within 10 days of referral. Admittedly I am having to wait for a follow up in November but he said he would call me back earlier if the tests warranted it.

Its just a thought but it might save a bit of money as my understanding is that most of the consultants work both privately and in the NHS. Just an idea. I would have had to wait until August for a private appointment.

Thank you for your reply. I have decided to go along for the appointment as it is on Monday! This particular consultant only works privately. Really hope I get some answers because it is quite expensive!
