Welcome to the UCTD club, Sharoom. There are lots of us in this club on here so your in very good company!. Hope treatment has been started and you feel better soon. Keep posting. X
Hi, I have mixed connective tissue disease, tbh I don't know if there's a difference, I didn't even realise it was different to lupus for a couple of years, so terminology I'm not so great with, but living with it, I'm a champ lol
How are you finding things? Have you started any treatment yet? x
That's fine! At least you will start giving you treatment. UCTD is where they go when the symptoms/tests don't line up perfectly for Lupus. The treatment is usually the same. The other thing the drs like to say is "suspected Lupus".
That's good that you now have a treatable diagnosis. Don't let anyone tell you that it is a 'holding' diagnosis or an 'almost' diagnosis - it is a diagnosis in its own right. Some will progress to other Connective Tissue Diseases whilst others will continue their twisty path 'off the beaten track' as I have done for a long time. The treatment approach is what counts. Keep us posted 😃
Hi Sharoom ,
Welcome to the LUPUS UK community. There are a lot of people here who either have a diagnosis of undifferentiated connective tissue disease (UCTD) now or previously. Have you been started on any treatment? Are there any symptoms that affect you the most?
