Any of the above can be true. You can have a low fever. You can have low body temp. You can be normal. It's a fun roller coaster ride. After a year from Dx, I'm finally learning not to freak out with each changing symptom. They come at you constantly!

Hi Jensen_Lynne,
Flu-like symptoms such as having a fever is commonly associated with lupus. However, it is important to remember that lupus presently differently in everybody therefore, not everyone who has lupus will have a fever.
The Lupus Encyclopedia states “Of people who have SLE, 50% to 60% will develop fevers from their lupus”. However, it further states that “you should never automatically blame a fever on lupus” as people with lupus are more prone to infections rather people without the disease and therefore should be seen by a doctor immediately.
Since having lupus I've only once had a fever and that was due to infection... so definitely not always.
