Saw a post asking if anyone has both Lupus and Leukemia. I do. My twinsister has Lupus. My doctors suspected Lupus when I was younger. I was never formally diagnosed until after my Leukemia.

Poor both of you - that's an awful lot to cope with. I do so hope you get remission for both diseases for both of you.

Hello Rachel. I agree with twitchy....this is a lot to cope with. If you and your sister are close, I hope getting through this together helps you both...that's one of the wonderful things about this amazing forum: we get through this life with lupus & our other overlapping conditions by keeping close to one another one day at a time...the support & sharing here has helped me more than I can find words to say. I lived a life of alienation & increasing isolation for 40 years before I found our forum. Everyone here REALLY understands what we're up against. I'm glad you've found us. And I'm wishing you every best wish

Hi r & r sorry to hear both of you have lupus & leukemia what a lot to deal with...Been thinking of family illnesses and why I have lupus as the youngest of six, my twin though had serious breast cancer, a brave survivor. Thought about the vulnerability of being born little, due to two us sharing my mom, that is we were premature and the impact to our health now in our later years. None of our brothers or sister fortunately have had cancer or lupus, my sis is a good support to me. I don't know if there are correlation s in regards to twin and illness's, my mom & her identical twin certainly had similar health issues. Are you identical?
