I have Sjorgrens and discoid lupus. RA test was negative, but I've developed what appears to be RA nodules. The one on right elbow has shrunk. The left elbow nodule has grown. I'm going to see a surgeon soon. Has anyone experienced this nuisance? What are they? Larger nodule will burn at times. It's quite unsightly.

This is the bursa sack that has swollen up mine took about 3 months to go down. aI thought it was going to drop off before go down, it was that big i banged me elbow thats all i did
I took ant inflamatories for it to go down.
But it could be that you have an infection in the bursa if its angry in which case you need some antibiotics or they might drain some off see whats in their
I don't recall hitting my elbow. Draining it sounds painful, but would like it gone! I can't wear short sleeves. I've had it a year. When it gets angry, I put turmeric and frankincense on it and it calms down.
Hi mag I had something similar they call it a burser or tennis elbow they don't like to operate
They drained my one then injected steroids witch didn't work so I was sent to see surgeon
Who sent me for X ray witch showed a bone spur witch was causing blood vessels to leak had surgery to remove spur and repair no more trouble since hope all ends well for you to
Looks uncomfortable but also like a bursitis. Just leaning a lot on that side, especially if you've been resting up because of other symptoms, can trigger it. Or it could just be a spontaneous inflammatory response. If there is a lot of synovial fluid there, they might aspirate it and try a steroid injection to reduce inflammation.
