I was wondering if anyone has had an itchy, burning rash on their joints? It start on one elbow a week ago and is now on both elbows and one knee. Picture shows elbow one which has merged into one large bumpy patch. The other elbow and knee are red spots
I am undiagnosed, although under a rheumatologist who has mentioned lupus, sjorgens and CTD. I haven’t had any rashes yet and didn’t know what this was! Thanks
Hi there. I have Sjögren’s. I’m no expert on the distinctions but wondering whether this could be Psoriasis as outer elbows and knees are common sites for this and its autoimmune? It looks very sore and hopefully others with Lupus will know more.
Good morning. I have had this a few times but was not sure what it was. I only had it on my elbows. Unfortunately l was not able to get to see my rheumy nor GP. Wish l had thought about taking pictures. Will next time. Gentle hugs beaming over. x
Good morning abt84..I do hope your feeling a bit better today. I'm not positive but I have psoriasis and that is what it looks like when it started..it is the cause of my illness....it's psorical arthritis..the actual psoriasis is the base of your joint pain..I know it sounds really strange and I couldn't quite believe it..please get to your doctors and get re diagnosed hun..it may change the meds your on..I'm on methotrexate injections..but a week ago my rhumy nurse suggested a steroid injection in my bum haha..it's helping me enormously..but yes I think it' psoriasis..take care hun..big gentle hug from me..keep us informed x

I did wonder about psorical arthritis as a friend has just been diagnosed with it. However she has had psriaosis for years, then got the joint pains etc. I have never had psriaosis ever! And this has appeared over the past 10 days. Whereas I have had the joint pains, exhaustion, vertigo etc for a year. Is it possible to get the psaorasis after the other symptoms in the matter of psorical arthritis?
To be honest I don't know..but it may be a new seperate condition hun..I had it for years before the arthritis..defo get to docs or ring your rhumy nurse as they probably know better than doctors..I'm off methotrexate at mo as my liver enzims are really high..but having problems eating..feeling full soon as I have two fork dulls.. I mentioned it to rhumy nurse when she rang and she's even sent me a letter advising doctor..shes amazing ..I wish I could help you more..and if you know about my full thing could you advise me please x

Hi there, I thought I was looking at my own elbow because the rash I have is identical and I've been getting them for the last 14 years from my lupus! I do also have psoriasis and it looks different from this. My psoriasis plaques are like one big raised flaky itchy patches skin where my lupus rashes have a bunch of tiny little bumps like this one LOL I'm not real good at describing rashes! I hope this helped a little bit and I hope it's not lupus! Fingers crossed for you
I also get the same rashes on my knees and elbows! It’s been happening since I was 16. I’m now almost 41. I’ve been diagnosed with an autoimmune (undefined) but they were telling me most likely Lupus. I
