Can you have shortness of breath and it hurts a little, is that a symptom of lupus? Just curious

Lupus symptom
Yes, it is possible because that is one of my symptoms.
It is called pleuric chest pains. Usually, the pain would increase if you took a deep breath or coughed. It is basically caused by fluid in the lungs as a result of infection.
It will often vary depending on the position you're in so, for example, rather than laying flat in bed, I find it better to sleep on a couple of extra pillows and on my back. Often, it is a case of trial and error to find what works best for you.
I would always say that any shortness of breath should be checked out with a doctor just to make sure there isn't any other cause for that shortness of breath. I suspect that many of us with lupus get so used to different pains in different places, we tend to let new pain come and go before we get them checked out by our doctors.
Please go and ask your doctor to see if you do have lupus or another problem because you are clearly anxious about what may be wrong with you and, in my experience, stress is the worse thing to have if you do have lupus. If you do have it, at least they can manage it and if you don't have it then they can check if it's something else.......All this worrying is not doing you any good so please, get it checked out..
