Methotrexate - Swelling & Increased Pain

Has anyone had the experience of hand and feet swelling on Methotrexate, as well as increased joint pain (mine burns)? I tried an OTC diuretic, which didn't work, and am now switching to Dandelion tea to see if I can shrink my hands and feet.

Are you still producing plenty of urine? But I would call your doctor, mention it to them and ask for advice.

Yea, ok on that front and am making sure to drink plenty of water. It's just gotten so bad that I can barely walk on my feet. Also, up two pant sizes and 1.5 size in shoes in less than 5 weeks. Will talk to my doc, this seems pretty extreme.

Yes - if it is that bad I'd speak to him sooner rather than later!

Hi

I take MTX. Last Oct/Nov I had increased pain and swelling. It turned out to be a flare.

Do you think that might be the case?

I was given Pred. which did the trick.

I could be, but it definitely has worsened with the MTX. I did try using knee compression gloves and a wrap ice to me knees when I sleep. Both help, which makes me think the swelling got into the joints and tendons.
