Has anyone felt so limp, lethargic and fatigued where you can't even lift a fork to your mouth?
Still trying to figure out what is related to what. Talked with my mom and she says she has never experienced this before.
Anyone else?
Thanks

Yes! Usually the first few days of a flare are like that for me
All the time! I had a physiotherapist visit me at home recently.
Although I was only asking for some simple exercises to prevent phlebitis and muscle wasting (owing to my limited mobility), she said that she found my muscle weakness concerning.
She thought it could be either down to the auto-immune condition itself (for example, neuro- involvement) or the steroids (which can also cause muscle weakness). In any case, she has written to my GP to suggest further investigations, perhaps by neurology or endocrinology.
So I can't tell you what is going on for you, Lara, but you are certainly not alone, and it may well be worth investigating. x
Thank you. I am waiting to see a neurologist, as this is only one of many many oddities that happen.
I know with lupus and fibro you get weak muscles but this wasn't weak, this simply an inability to lift, to tell my arm and hand what to do and the body just not finding the oomph to do it.
I appreciate everyone's input

Yes! However, it was due to hepatitis. But the feeling you describe is the same. It's a major effort to even scratch an itch! I hope you find out the cause of your problem very soon! Hugs!
Hope you get help soon. I had to get a son to cut my meat up in a restaurant recently. At least he said it was fun to return my efforts for him after all these years. x
I get like that when I have a bad flare and it can last for weeks at a time and then suddenly go, as if someone just flicked a switch and my muscles have energy again. I've not been on medications for most of the time I've been ill so it wasn't that.
I did also get very floppy and weak when I took azathioprine but that felt different somehow, more like the muscle just weren't able to contract rather than a complete draining of energy, and quickly turned into not being able to even crawl up the stairs or sit in a chair with a whole host if other unpleasant effects - I didn't stay on them for long but tried twice and the same thing happened each time so that was the meds.
It is tough to work out what's what sometimes, especially if you're on medication.
Best wishes!
