Hi poodlegal ,

I'm very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. How you are feeling at the moment?

Anti-dsDNA antibodies will fluctuate with disease activity in some people, so during a flare of SLE it may increase, and during periods of disease inactivity (either spontaneously or due to treatment) it may normalise or decrease in level. However, this isn't true for everybody; some people have elevated anti-dsDNA levels that do not fluctuate with disease activity.

I hope that you've got some good support from your family and friends around you. I hope that you've got a chance to rest well and recover. If you need additional emotional support, please ensure you reach out to your GP or other medical professionals so that they can assist you with any services that are available.

Do you have antiphospholipid syndrome too?

Slightly positive for that

I started on heparin but the pregnancy was a blighted ovam where a baby never developes just a sac so the miscarriage wasn't lupus related

Ah right, I saw your message and suddenly thought maybe they hadn't tested u for APS and you didn't know you had it.

I'm very sorry about what has happened I have had a similar experience. Hope u have good support and are doing ok.

As for your original post! I'm not really sure about that I know other blood results vary on disease activity but not heard/sure about that one.
