Today I have to go to The University Of Alabama Birmingham hospital (in the U.S.) for pulmonary test this morning and then this afternoon still at UAB I have a appointment with my neurologist.
It will be a long day UAB is about a 2 hour drive one way for me. First appointment is at 10AM and the Last appointment is at 4 PM. From the time I leave home to the time I get back will probably be 12 + hours.
Then on top of that as you can see by the photo the blister on my right foot has gotten larger than it was. On the bright side, I do not think it got much, if any larger overnight.
I am not really looking forward to having to spend the day in the largest city of Alabama π£Barefootπ£ but, I have no choice, doctors and angry blister say no shoes.
When I get back I will let y'all know how today goes and or went?
Hey Tiras, I hope your visit went well. Did you enjoy music on the journey ? and I hope you enjoyed a good meal during the day. Did the sun shine for you ? ( we don't see much of it here in the UK ) We Lupies have to count our blessings, ( such as they are ! ) You've got it tough and I wish you well xxx.
Yes I did listen to Internet radio in the way over and back I have just gotten home it is 8:25 PM here and if my calculations are correct that is 3:25 AM your time.
The Pulmonologist says that I have chronic bronchitis due to COPD and emphysema. I was was put on permanent antibiotics/steroids it is Azithromycin 250 MG once a day.
Yes the sun was shining all day pretty much as it has here for the last several weeks. We do get an occasional afternoon thunderstorm but, it has been dry here this summer.
Yes, you are correct we who have lupus put up with a lot but, I have my motto.
Thanks for letting us know how it went π£π£π£π£π£ BFG...was thinking ππππ about you yesterday...hope the daily azithromycin antibiotic goes ok...immunology now has me on daily antibiotics (coamoxiclav 625mg X 2 per day) indefinitely...am so relieved: this coamoxiclav gives me less unpleasant side effects than any type of antibiotic I've been on over the decades...and I feel so much better now the pockets of chronic bacterial sepsis are clearing up...am hoping something silk ar for you! Take care, coco
Thanks we will see how things go, (as the old saying goes here in the U.S.) probably to hell in a hand basket. ( I don't know where that phrase came from but. when things would go wrong, that was a saying they had).
I didn't sleep very well last night up and down all night. I got up at midnight and stayed up until 2:00 AM then went and layed back down and now up at 6:00 AM. When I would sleep it was weird vivid dreams. It's almost as if, I am more tired now, than I was when I finally fell asleep?
Thank you for thinking of me yesterday. I think of y'all all the time. Even though we have never, and more than likely never will meet in person, the people on this Commuinty has become family. We share things here with this Commuinty that we don't share with actual family members, (like when I have rash or blister in private areas).
