Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone has carpal tunnel? My hand are driving me made, especially at night. I keep waking up with dead hands. The right is worse than the left. I can feel it going numb as I type.
If it's not one thing it's another 😁😁

Could be Carole tunnel or could be nerve problems in your neck. Sometimes due to pain our posture needs correcting or there's disc involvement. Get it checked.
That wasn't meant to be Carole!
Hi my mum haas the same probllem. She saw rheumatologist yesterday. She has carpal tunnel. Needs to wear splints. If they don't work then surgery. You should see your rheumy or gp. Hope this helps. X
Hi
I've had the same thing, only with pins and needles in fingers. Tried injections in wrist- ouch
Ended up having surgery, each wrist done about 6 months apart. It only takes about 10 minutes under a local anaesthetic and a few stitches
It's great to hands that feel normal ish. Only Arthritis to worry about now
I'm diagnosed with carpel tunnel and have just agreed to go as a day patient to get it dealt with. Both hands are affected but the left one is the worst. As soon as I pick up a book or a tablet or a hand game the pins and needles start, then numbness sets in. Nights were bad, the pain used to wake me up
Saw my rheumatologist a couple of weeks ago and he asked how my hands were then suggested he refer me...I had the initial test last year, so now I'm waiting and not looking forward to an app soon....
I had both my hands done lasted for a short time then the pins and needles returned. I saw the consultant he said he thought the nerve was trapped between my elbow and wrist so I had that decompression done and the pins and needles returned. Now they are sending me for a MRI to see if the problem is with my neck
Hi Alison-brown,
You've got some great responses. The NHS have some information and tips about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome on their website. You can view it here: nhs.uk/conditions/Carpal-tu...
There are treatments available so it might be worth mentioning this to your GP next time you see them.

Hi Alison , go see your go as I had carpal tunnel in my hands and got referred to the hospital and got a operation on it to tighten the never endings and it worked a treat .hope you get it sorted ❤️❤️
Hello Alison, I had my carpel tunnel sorted out yesterday, It was done on a saturday to my surprise. I have it in both hands/ arms but the left was worse, constantly getting pins and needles whenever I lifted my arm, or bent my wrist. I did get Feelings like electric shocks in my hand also. It also woke me at night, just feeling uncomfortable.
I had to have tests by a neurosciences technician who gave me little shocks on both arms to see how the nerves reacted, wasn't too bad
It was decided my left one was worse and I had it done under local anaesthetic, all went well, and now I have a bandage to keep on for 10 days.My arm already feels more comfy , although it is a little sore. It took me a while to realise something was wrong because I am diabetic, and have sicca syndrome, and lupus so was blaming it on everything else.
Ask if you can be referred to orthopedics, and I hope you get it sorted soon.
I have just remembered that I kept on dropping things with that hand, and the Dr said
that was the deciding feature for surgery.
Feel ure pain my hands and wrists are agony kind of like that painful stage of pins and needles with a mixture of stabbing pain and hot and cold sensation.
