Does anyone have any idea what a Beightons score is/means? I think it is something to do with hypermobility? Thanks

Yes it is how they check for hyper mobility. The higher the score the more you're hyper mobile. Anyone can be hyper mobile but if you have pain with it then it has syndrome added, the highest score you can have is 9. 😉
The Hypermobility Syndromes Association has helped me the most to understand my hypermobility (and also how it relates to my lupus & sjogrens & raynauds etc).

Yes, as I understand it, some of us have a contradictory combination of hypermobility & stiffness due to our autoimmunity gradually denaturing certain soft tissues (tightening muscles & tendons) alongside hypermobility rendering our ligaments loose (loose joints). Each case of hypermobility is as individual as each case of lupus. So, different hypermobile folks have different characteristically loose joints. And not all types of hypermobility affect the body's connective tissues as widely generally as other types do/can
