Have noticed my head is very dry. Every time i move a piece of my hair or brush i notice white lumps which is dry skin.

If the dryness extends to your skin and you feel tired, it could indicate a problem with your thyroid glands. Or you could just have a dry scalp!

Could it be seborrheic dermatitis?

I have that and I get white clumps of oily buildup.

It is normally itchy and if you scratch it becomes sore.

Medicated shampoos and frequent washing help a lot.

I also like to rinse with water and vinegar, helps remove any residue that might irritate the skin.

Organic cold pressed sesame oil on your head 1/2 hr once a day. Natural anti inflammatory,anti bacterial..look it up. Helped me a lot with my dry itchy scalp. Did it everyday for 3 months. Now i do it once or twice a week. Shampoo with lavender shampoo to help and tea tree oil condtioner. Rinse lastly with cool water. Hope you feel better

You've got some great responses here. It's worth noting that what works for one person might not work so well for another as lupus is so variable. If you're trying a new skin treatment please do be careful to test it on a small area first.
