Hi just a quick update, I managed to get a cancellation with a rhuemy on Thursday, he has diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia, he said that the anti double stranded positive result meant nothing and neither do the dry eyes, im happy with the result I just wish I had asked him to explain why the dsdna result was positive.

Don't think fibromyalgia explains the clotting. Have you researched APS/ Hughes syndrome

Hi Baba, yes I did, but they did a lot of tests on me back in 2012 and Said there was no reason for the clots

There has to be a reason for the clots, the fact that they didn't find the reason is a worry. Please push for further testing.

Anti-dsDNA is fairly specific for lupus. I am surprised he did not run more blood tests for autoimmune disease before diagnosing fibro, as i thought it was diagnosed after ruling autoimmune/connectivee tissue disease out. What did your GP say? Is it possible to get a second opinion? You need to find out what is causing your clotting issues.

The GP Said it is a autoimmune diesease but would not confirm lupus, she said to wait and see what the rheumy says but h. has diagnosed firbro, im going back in febto see a different rhuemy, I have another appointment with doctors tomorrow to get meds (anti depressents) for the fibro
