Positive Thinking Practical Instructions

In order to turn the mind toward the positive, some inner work is required, since attitude and thoughts do not change overnight.

Read about this subject, think about its benefits, and persuade yourself to try it. The power of your thoughts is a mighty power that is always shaping your life. This shaping is usually done subconsciously, but it is possible to make the process a conscious one. Even if the idea seems strange, give it a try. You have nothing to lose, but only to gain.

Ignore what other people say or think about you, if they discover that you are changing the way you think.

Use your imagination to visualize only favorable and beneficial situations.

Use positive words in your inner dialogues, or when talking with others.

Smile a little more, as this helps to think positively.

Once a negative thought enters your mind, you have to be aware of it, and endeavor to replace it with a constructive one. If the negative thought returns, replace it again with a positive one. It is as if there are two pictures in front of you, and you have to choose to look at one of them, and disregard the other. Persistence will eventually teach your mind to think positively, and to ignore negative thoughts.

In case you experience inner resistance and difficulties when replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, do not give up, but keep looking only at the beneficial, good and happy thoughts in your mind.

It doesn't matter what your circumstances are at the present moment. Think positively, expect only favorable results and situations, and circumstances will change accordingly. If you persevere, you will transform the way your mind thinks. It might take some time for the changes to take place, but eventually they will.

Another useful technique is the repetition of affirmations. This technique is similar to creative visualization, and can be used together with it.

I always used to think negative ...but then I realised how it affected my health. .now wen negativity comes I purposefully tell in my mind that this ia not going to happen and reinforce positive thinking...it works..

We lupies are unable to enjoy life as other normal people can as sunlight is our enemy...I really loved to go out with friends and roam around..but now I have adjusted my timing. .told my frnds about my condition and adjusted...I go out in the evenings..go out with my friends to restaurants, for movies , to places where sunlight does not affect...I adjusted my life..wen I get tired I sit and take rest in between. . (My friends are very much understanding and caring).. :)

I liked junked foods very much..( kfc and mcdonalds), but wen I understood that these all affects badly on my health I stopped it..I started cooking other dishes which I likes most at home itself.. (which I enjoys) included vegetables in food (was pure non vegetarian) now it gave me a good health..all my blood reports are normal since last two years :) except ANA.. :( try to avoid junk foods, aerated drinks, coloured flavours as it affects badly..

An idle mind is devil's workshop..so try to engage in some activities which u can do siting at home ..be creative. .if u think u are not good at anything or dont have money to spent for learning something..search in Internet (youtube) u will get lot of ideas and they show demo strations too..I make jewellery. .do painting..stitching and gift to friends and relatives..it can be an extra income too..u will wonder thinking that u have did all those..so don't wase time..try it..

Always try to be positive..dont think that u are sick and cannot do anything..if u all come forward u can make wonders..wen I was diagnosed with lupus, I thought I will die in one or two years. .but the postive power made me alright. ..I am a nurse.but I don't go to hospital for work as it may make me more ill (as its most infectious)..I thought of some other alternatives. .now work as a tutor and studying msc nursing for the better prospects of my life..if I would have sat with my negative thoughts I would not have reached anywhere (only to my grave ;) ) always aim high..u will have the energy to reach it..best wishes. .
