Fed up
Hi Avionne,
Sorry to hear things are getting you down. It is tough and the joint pain isn't helpful. Have you tried to do small exercises to try ease the joints or perhaps swimming? I'be been told swimming is good so I'm looking at perhaps starting that. Try to treat yourself to at least feel a little better whether its painting your nails or getting your hair done. It might help lift your spirits.
Get well soon
X ☺
Hi avionne
My rheumatologist gave me some kind of exercise when first get up in the morning. They are gentle moments start with my ankle then my legs and arms right on my bed. The last one would be sit up and down, then my joints get flexible to do more easy exercise off my bed. It'd been helping me go through the day without the pain on my left shoulder and heels.
Ulcer, I cook plain rice soup wait until it cool down, eat likes that a few times would get rid of the ulcers. Something in the rice helps to clean out the system, don't eat spice, hot, fried, acids or alcohol. But drink plenty cool water and liquid. If ulcer outside your mouth, put ice few times a day to help it heal faster.
Good luck...
Hi Avionne
Sorry to read your having a rough time. For mouth ulcers I can recommend Difflam Mouthwash. It is a great painkiller and you can either buy it or have it on prescription. What treatment are you on for Lupus?. Just wondering if it could be adjusted to help you thru this flare?. Are you due to see your Consultant?. Always worth trying to go earlier via a cancellation!. Hope you feel better soon.X
Lysine is the best for sores in the mouth but you have to take it when the sore begins. I take as much as 1000 to 4000 mg--maybe 2,000 a few times a day. Any health food store sells it and my rheumatologist said I should take it for mouth sores. It really works and it can't hurt to try. Also, to relieve the discomfort Listerine sells an orange mouthwash that really seems to also help. Someone told me about it and for sure it also helped along with the lysine.
Thank u all so much.. it's alot happening at the same time thank god there's this forum
My dentist gave me betnesol 0.5mg , they are steroid tablets that you dissolve and use as a mouthwash, and I find they take the pain and inflammation down overnight. Your GP can prescribe them as well.
Hope you get some relief soon.
