good on you. hope it all goes well. Please don't take this the wrong way. But what ever happens with your Lupus , you have made one of the biggest moves / decisions you are going to make with regards you and your illness and how you let it affect your future.

You can let it rule your life or you rule it.

Again , hope the management are understanding and assist you as much as possible and that you don't come up against the biggest problem, the benefit Department. trying to stop you like they usually do.

Look up and forwards , with the attitude that their nothing can stop you. Hope that a permanent employment comes from it , if that's what you require.

Jeff.

Thx for sharing your positive news! I've had 5 yrs off work due to active Lupus & relentless illness. My meds including Mycophenlate are still being adjusted. Voluntary work is a great way to get back into working & to see how you can cope with environment & living with Lupus. Good luck to you! Working with people who understand makes a big difference & helps to maintain health. I was working as a Secondary school teacher & love working with young people but the other issues (lack of support, constant changes, poor mgt) are too stressful. Do they know you have Lupus? It's always a dilemma as to whether to tell the employer or not at interview. Once my health is more stable, voluntary work may have to be my 1st option so I can get my confidence back & try various roles to find out which suits me so I can remain healthy. It's important to nurture mind & well-being esp in the workplace. Thx for the inspiration!
