White blood cells

I'v had yet another urine test and it's showing that I have got white blood in it , has any one had this and can u tell please tells what it is and the out come thanks

White cells or leucocytes in urine can be an indicator of infection.

Hi les, white blood cells in a urine test is normaly seen as a indicator for a sign of infection.. Depending on the count of the white blood cells will determin treatment...if they are high and you are showing swelling in lymph nodes also etc they may give you a high dose of antibiotics for a week. Then the normal action is retest you in a week and take bloods.. I have this all the time..it can also just be a sign that lupus is very active at this moment...hope this helps..last time my lymph nodes and white blood count was through the roof i was given a really strong antibiotic, bloods taken, wk on antibiotics, then retest, still high but a little bit better..i always have a high count my body is always fighting what it thinks is infection but its my own body lol... Its also a good indicator how your body is doing with your lupus, and your medication..

I had this just recently antibiotics failed to clear up the white blood cells twice had no idea it could be to do with lupus
