Hi Alan II was wondering how you got on with your GP today . I assume that high inflammatory markers means that your inflammation markers in bloods are showing high for inflammation in your blood stream so infection is rife . Chris

Hi Alan

Glad to read your being referred to one of the top Lupus doctors in London. You will get answers now. High inflammation can also mean how active your illness is not always infection. Hope it won't be long before you go and best of luck. Let us know how you get on.

Hi

When they have said that to me, they have been refuring to the blood tests that identify my disease is active, in my case Creatine Kinase, Dna and LDH. It depends on e bloods I suppose as esr can identify infection. That was up a while ago but consultant put it down to the upper resp infection.

I suppose they have identified some of your bloods are raised prompting further investigation etc.

Good luck
