Just wanted to say...

steadilymovingforward profile image

Today is my one year anniversary at work! It may not be the biggest achievement but I wanted to celebrate as it has been a very long time since I was able to stay in a job for one whole year! It has been and continues to be extraordinarily hard to get through an eight hour day at work but I'm pleased I have managed to just about get through it.

I have made my ultimate rockyroad crispie cakes for everyone at work to celebrate!

But it is a big achievement! Passing a milestone that may have seemed impossible past is a thing of beauty and celebration! Revel in your glory!

Well done, l miss not being able to work anymore and applaud all those who do :) Do try and get as much rest as you can when you can so you can continue to work .

Thanks pattismith,

I only work Tuesday and Thursday so I plan on having a whole weekend just slobbing around the house watching DVD's and taking it really easy!!

take care :)

Yippeeeee, congratulations, well done you and enjoy those crispies. I am so pleased for you, I was gutted when I had to give up work and have been so chuffed to be able to do some voluntary work , three hours two days a week for a little while and that is a killer I certainly sleep well those nights. It has been interrupted by a couple of periods of being hospitalised but then hey ho goes with the territory.

It is so good to read a positive post I am really chuffed for you good luck for the next year of your working life and many more to come. :-)

Congratulations!!! Like Madmagz I had to give up my amazing full time job, but I volunteer 22 hours a week as well which keeps my brain working. We are all very happy for you xxx

Thank you so much guys, I too only manage a few days a week and it's a struggle but I just about manage it so it's worth it as it gives me something else to focus on. I became a Samaritan volunteer one year after I got ill when I lost my job as you can sit on a comfy chair with a headset (great when your hands are painful) and I think it saved me from becoming very depressed. I will always be greatful that I had that opportunity, it got me through very dark times xxx

Well done steadilymovingforward. My daughter has been working 40 hour weeks for nearly 10 months and I know how tiring it is. Keep up the good work x
