What were your symptoms and what treatment did you have for it.
The reason I ask is my GP has sent off samples of phlegm to be tested.I have had a nasty cough for some time now and have started coughing up blood, also getting very short of breath.

Had a cousin with that back in the 50s, he was sent to a hospital out in the country as people were isolated, he made a good recovery he's in his 60s now. My sister in law had it as well around the late 60's, early 70s and all I remember was her taking large white pills that she had to dissolve on her tongue...she's now approaching 80!!
Do hope you get some treatment soon, expect treatment is different now, I really dont know...but it sound slike they use courses of antibiotics...good luck
Thank you for the replies, got to wait for results of test so hopefully won't have it.
If it comes back negative will probably have to see a lung specialist.
I'm currently being treated for TB, I have to take antibiotics for 3 months, then back to the hospital for another test. I have to increase my prednisolone to 10mg has the antibiotics I've being put on affects the steroids as well...so far so good.
