I have been diagnosed with fybromyalgia. My lupus... - LUPUS UK
I have been diagnosed with fybromyalgia. My lupus is in " remission" I was diagnosed with that in 1997. Anyone else in same boat?
What are the symptoms of fibromyalgia in your case? The reason I ask is that I feel some of my symptoms are due to fibromyalgia but I have not been diagnosed with it.
The best way I can explain the pain is: it's like having a bad tooth ache only all over! It is a real gnawing ache somedays different parts hurt more than others but even so it is debilitating. I have found over the last few months I have had have a rest most days for half hour or so I constantly feel exhausted
Morning, I too suffer with fibro, your rhummy can diagnose this, fibro fog similar to lupus fog, severe fatigue, there are 18 pain points which can be affected at any given time, mine is lower back and across the shoulders, joint pain, insomnia, no two people are the same, it's difficult to decide which is fibro and which is lupus. Fibro uk is a good site if you need help. Good luck x
Just the same as you. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2001 but last few years have been told it is inactive, my blood results show no Lupus activity. Eventually, after getting quite upset at Rheumy appointment and asking why do I still feel so ill and in so much pain then, he examined me and diagnosed Fibro. There is no specific test for it, they just poke you in various place and ask "does this hurt?"
It really doesn't feel any different from the symptoms I experienced with Lupus.
Thank for the info, I will discuss with my consultant when I see him this week. I do feel I have a lot of the symptoms.
