Hi Beatless Well that is great news! You must be absolutely delighted.
I'd imagine they are recommending Keytruda for you to deal with any cancer cells lurking that aren't detectable on the scans. It helps stop cancer hiding from your immune system. My husband is on Tecentriq which is similar to Keytruda - its pretty straightforward and he doesn't have any side effects really (and most importantly, it seems to be working well!).
what fantastic news, the immunotherapy will be belt and braces and to mop up any small ones floating around. That stuff is amazing for most, I had a 85% reduction with it but did stop after 8 rounds due to colitis, so just be mindful of anything out of the ordinary with it and speak up! Good luck, so happy for you
That is wonderful news for you to receive, it must be a great relief for you to hear. As the others have said starting on Keytruda may be to mop up any cells that have not been detected, get in touch with your CNS or oncologist as they will be able to answer your questions
