Hi Lovely ,I had one high dose blast of radiation to my brain at the time I too was very scared ,but I have survived it and am doing ok .For the radiation I had I was only in the radiation scanner for about 20minutes I had a mask made that was actually the hardest bit for me but in order to kill the cancer cells it was all worth it.Good luck hope it goes well Diane .

They found 2 Mets measures 0.4 and 0.3 mm today so again radiation and I’m scared this will keep showing up more and more but I’m on taxol chemo for a little bit of cancer found in my lymph mode on on round 2 out of 3 total rounds and maybe this will stop Mets from showing up? Any thights

Hello Lovey1000,

It understandable that you will be feeling apprehensive about having radiotherapy, any new treatment is a leap into the unknown, speak to your lung cancer specialist nurse or GP they will be able to answer any questions and help to reduce any anxiety. I have added a link below to our radiotherapy booklet which has information on radiotherapy which you may find useful.
